Hitcham, Bildeston, Suffolk
2 September 1858
My Dear Sir
As I am not likely to be in Cambridge for some time I write to thank you to send my set to H. Webb Esq 13 Clements Inn. He receives parcels in London for me & pays small accounts for me there. If therefore you have an opportunity of sending anyone with it he might receive payment on delivery. Otherwise I can send you a cheque on Messrs Mills of Hadleigh if you think your bankers will trouble themselves to get such cashes for you through their agents. But perhaps the readier way is by P.O. Order. I shall be delighted to receive a set & to compare with the work which I have already.
Mr Eagle of Bury holds out some hope that you may be induced to visit him. If so I trust you will come on to Hitcham. If you have any fancy for seeing how we get up a village show, I shall have one on my lawn on 19th when you would see some fine potatoes if nothing else but really the produce of the Allottment tenants is worth looking at
Yours truly
J. S. Henslow
