My dear Sir,
I have forwarded a packet for Lowe, & a few others which he wished me to entrust to you for delivery. I received a cheque from our Treasurer today too late for the Bank, but will pay it in tomorrow to your account at Messrs Payne & Smith, thro' any Bankers here Messrs Mortlock. You may call for it on Saturday or perhaps it may not reach London until Monday, tho' I believe the Mortlock generally contrive that money shall arrive there the day after it is paid to them. The sum is for £48.4.- the whole of the Bill delivered. Be so good as to send me a stamp receipt for it the next time you send a proof - & specify on the stamp the Items thus,
Believe me
Very truly yrs

Have you any convenient means of sending copies of Lowe's paper to the following foreign gentry. Lowe left them with me & I am at a loss how to get them sent
Ferussac & Cuvier he bids me send to you & I presume the same conveyance will do for the others. If not pray return them with the next Proofs.
