From John Lindley 14 January 1843

London

Jany 14 1843

My Dear Henslow

I thank you very much for the papers you have sent me. I only wish I could cram a quart into a pint-pot than I should balk to find room for them in the G.C. I shall certainly advert to them one of these days soon. I am just now rather anxious to push on the subject of drainage - which country gentlemen are in the country & have a little time for other things than politics. Pray let me have the sermons when they are ready - they are sure to be useful to me.

As you said I kept back the enclosed - which I send you now because you probably have no copy of V.I. to see & this may assist your memory.

Most truly yrs

John Lindley
