From John Phillips   2 April 1851

2 April 1851

My dear Sir

I am not aware how you can obtain copies of Dore’s maps uncoloured – unless you write to Germany for them & even then I should doubt the obtaining of them. I sent your note to Sabine, to find if he can help you

I do not see any objection to taking the Register of black & blue eyes &c from a Club if that should be convenient. The subject appears to me highly deserving of attention. A friend is engaged in taking my Census at near Bristol, & I hope to get a return from North Wales.

Ever yours truly | John Phillips
