To John Tyndall, Snr   Tuesday morning, Nov. 11th, 1840

Youghal, | Tuesday morning | Nov. 10th, 1840

My dear Father

I received yours of the 8th1 about five minutes ago. I totally forgot the request contained on your last letter respecting Mr Read’s residence.2 I lose not a moment’s time in now communicating that to you as he is on the point of leaving us, in fact he has left us tho’ he is still in town but he expects every day to be leaving it – he lives at Mr McMahon’s North Main Street,3 where if you address a letter to him he will receive it. If you have any communication to make you had better lose no time in making it as he’ll leave town shortly. I hope your efforts to get me employment4 may be crowned with success. These few minutes are stolen I have time to say no more farewell

Your affectionate son | John Tyndall
