From William Wright   March 2nd. 1841.

Liverpool, March 2nd. 1841.

Dear John

I received both your last letters.1 I have just time to spare to inform you of it and of our intention to sail on tomorrow.2 we did expect to set out on yesterday but the ship had not her stores on board. It is needless to tell you how much I prized your letters, arriving as they did on the eve of my departure from all I hold dear on earth except my Sally.3 Were it not for her presence I must confess I would hardly leave old Ireland, associated as it has been with every thing that I love. You Jack know little of the pang it costs But with my Sally I will or would find a home and a happy one in the deserts of Arabia. She sends her compliments to you for the kind forbearance you have exhibited towards her in not blaming her for keeping me from writing to you. Farewell my ever loved and respected more than friend.

You may rely upon it if it pleases providence that we arrive safe I write to you by the first opportunity, hoping soon to have the pleasure of seeing you along with us

I remain | Yours truly | W. Wright.
