This moment within 10 minutes of post time I have received your letter² – I forward N^o 5³ without delay – do you evince the same promptness in sending it back – I have many reasons for not wishing the late movements to be mentioned – they will do very well for a corroborative afterclap – if however you think the mention of them of importance they shall be mentioned – Omega⁴ is in Connaught⁵ – he complains of our tardiness in bringing N^o 5 forward – make haste! And get as much information as possible on the present state of things – we are disunited but we are still able to make them shiver – we’ll see the thing out –
