To William Francis1

My dear Francis,

You must manage to put the above as a foot note to the 1st page of the Report of Doves enquiries4 – you may choose the place of the star – after the word ‘ingenious inventor’ it might appropriately be placed – or perhaps in the title – the place is of not much importance so as the note appears.

Sincerely yours | J Tyndall
