From Henry Bence Jones   Nov 6. 1852

My dear Sir

Many thanks for the MS1 which arrived safely this morning The degrees are left centigrade & a table for transforming them has been given. The references you have rightly given as to numbers, but it is unnecessary to add the foot notes. The printer takes these from the German text which I shall be glad if you will return me <at> your earliest convenience.

The proofs shall be sent to you.2

I shewed Dr Hofmann your manuscript he had never seen any thing like it. The delight of the printer will not be less than that of Dr Hofmann.

With many thanks for so soon sending us copy

I am | Yours very truly | H Bence Jones
