Verehrter Freund,

Berlin 3. Feb. 1854.

Honoured friend,

The bearer of these lines, Herr Hansen, son of the famous Gotha astronomer,1 is, as I know, already known to you from here. If you can do something for him to make his stay in London useful and pleasant for him, then you would oblige me by doing so. In Herr H. you will make the acquaintance of not only a very amiable, but also a very informed and highly talented young man.

I am still awaiting a reply to my last letter.2 As soon as I have received it from you, I shall reply to you at once as well with respect to the questions that you have sent me.

Cordially | Yours | G. Magnus
