Queenwood College | May 1st. /54.
Dear Dr. Tyndall,
Mr Taylor1 requested me to ask you whether you would be an honourable Member a Patron or a Donor of the large cricket club which is now just commencing, and he says he will send you a copy of the rules and different things about the club when they are printed and that will be in two or three days. I am enjoying myself very much at Queenwood. It has been very wet weather lately. Those boys which like can have a little piece of ground for a garden and I have got one, my seeds are now a good height above the ground. I must now say good bye dear Dr. Tyndall as I have no more to say at present
With kind love to you | Believe me | Ever your affect. friend | C. Cumming.
