To Michael Faraday   18th April 1855

Royal Institution | 18th April 1855

My dear Mr Faraday

You can hardly estimate how I prize your gift.1 My highest ambition at the present moment is to work until I shall be able to present you with a volume worthy of your acceptance. If the head holds out2 I hope to accomplish this – if not it will be my sweetest consolation to reflect that you have not thought me unworthy of your kindness.

Ever yours affectionately | John Tyndall
