From James David Forbes   6 March 1857

Edinburgh | 6 March 1857

Dr Tyndall | London

My dear Sir

I received lately the number of the Proceedings of the Royal Society containing an abstract of a paper on glaciers1 by you & Mr Huxley. I am desirous of making some remarks on several parts of this paper; but I should prefer doing so were there a prospect of seeing it published in detail.2 Will you be so good as to let me know whether it is to be printed; & if so will you oblige me by sending me a copy of it as early as convenient?

I remain dear Sir | Yours truly | James D. Forbes.
