From George Biddell Airy   1857 May 8

London S.E. | 1857 May 8

My dear Sir

I will most gladly avail myself of your kind arrangement1 for Tuesday morning May 12. And if you will permit me, I will bring with me my friend Professor Gautier2 of Geneva.3 He has arrived in England within two days, and I have but just now seen him. —He is not a practical electrician, but is generally informed on the whole subject, and his acquaintance with De La Rive will make the experiments interesting to him.

I am, my dear Sir, | Yours very truly | GB Airy

Professor Tyndall
