My dear John Tyndall,

Our concert and gala night¹ come off on the 21st. It would make it complete, if thou could join us. I am well aware we have nothing to offer thee equal to the attractions thou art surrounded with,—a hearty welcome and repose for thy weary head, are the inducements we have to offer.
