From Samuel Haughton   18 Jan. 1858.

9 Norfolk St, Strand | 18 Jan. 1858

My dear Sir,

I leave with this note my paper and a map of the part of the Co. Waterford examined1—scale 1 inch to the mile, just published by the Geological Survey.2

Please obtain admission for Mr Galbraith3 and myself on Thursday evening.4

I have given on the last page a short description of my diagrams—In case the Royal Society should see fit to publish my paper,5 I should like the printer to send me the ‘copy’ with the ‘revise’, as I have no record of my figures except in my note book.

It will scarcely be necessary to illustrate the paper as it is quite intelligible without the diagrams—or if you wish, I could have them drawn to any scale

I am, | Yours very sincerely | Saml. Haughton

John Tyndall Esq.
