To George Gabriel Stokes   20th. Feb. 18581

20th. Feb. 1858

My dear Sir

I return one of Mr Matthiessen’s2 papers.3 It contains the results of experiments on the electric conductivity of a great number of bodies. These results are undoubtedly valuable, and the Philosophical Transactions would, in my opinion be the proper place for recording them

very truly yours | John Tyndall

I hope to send on the second paper4 very soon.
