To Thomas Archer Hirst   7th. Aug. | 1859

7th. Aug. | 1859.

My dear Tom.

I am off tomorrow1—the 8th—I made my will yesterday, but forgot to mention in it my journals. This is to say that they are yours in case I do not return. Never let any thing unkind be heard after me: There is not much of it but whatever there is suppress it

Ever affectionately | John Tyndall (over.)2

I have made you one of my executors. The policy has been charged for extra on account of risks. 50 per cent the clerk told me.
