My dear Tyndall

Not until yesterday did I see the Philosophical Magazine for May and read your last letter to Prof[esso]r Thomson2—It seems to me, if you will let me say so, most admirable, and I must be allowed to congratulate you upon the entire success of your reply to a most unmerited attack—In substance, style, tone, & temper I can conceive nothing better—Juliet3 much wishes to see it, and if you can lend her a copy of the magazine for that purpose it will much oblige her—

With kindest regards— | Yours ever truly | W. F. Pollock
