From William Frederick Pollock   Wednesday | 12th Oct. 1864

Easton Farm | Freshwater1 | Wednesday | 12th Oct. 1864

My dear Tyndall

If the state of your work & other engagements really would allow the thing to be done, I wish you would come to us here on Saturday next. The place is still in undiminished beauty, & the weather promises to be fine—It will be our last Saturday & Sunday here—& it w[oul]d be an enormous pleasure to have you here in your old quarters again. I may remind you that you w[oul]d get here in time for a walk on Saturday by leaving the Waterloo station (via Lymington & Yarmouth) at 11 a.m. & by leaving this at 8 a. m. on Monday you w[oul]d reach London early in the afternoon—The return ticket on Saturday is little more than a single fare.

Walter2 left us for Eton3 three weeks ago—& Fred,4 for Cambridge5 on Saturday, & I have been away for ten days on a little jaunt into your country—but without time for Killarney6 w[hic]h is reserved for another occasion.

Come if you can, we should be so glad to see you.

Yours ever truly | W. F. Pollock
