To John Herschel   17th Nov. 1864

Royal Institution of Great Britain | 17th Nov. 1864

My dear Sir John

It was an oversight on my part not to mention to you1 that sunshine is a luxury beyond my means—all the experiments which I have hitherto made have been executed with the electric light.2

Yours very sincerely | John Tyndall

I shall test the point more surely before I relinquish it.

Many thanks for your kind offer:3 If all else should fail I shall gladly avail myself of it.
