I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 1st instant1 expressive of your desire to visit Sealers Cove with the view of obtaining specimens of Wood for the Paris Exhibition the expenses of the journey to be defrayed out of the fund sanctioned for the expenditure of the Commission

I am in reply to convey to you the sanction of His Excellency the Lieutenant Governor to your views being carried out
