I do myself the honor to inform you in reply to your request from this day1 of forwarding to you instantly my Second annual Report,2 that it will lay not in my power to complet this document before the end of next month, as yet more than hundred species of plants from my last expedition remain to be examined and to be added to the list of 500 already elaborated.
