Extract from W. Sonder to D. von Schlechtendal, 31 January 1855, a version of which, misdated to 1 January, was published in Tkach et al. (2022), Brief 25. Tkach et al. also include an image of this letter.
Among other things, Sonder's letter discusses the progress of Plantae Muellerianae, especially a new consignment of mosses that he hopes Hampe and Carl Müller will again deal with; done in Hampe (1856).
Sonder also requested a catalogue from an antiquarian bookseller as 'Bücher zu senden, ich soll für Dr. Müller verschiedene auf die Flora Australiens bezügliche Werke besorgen' [I am supposed to procure for Dr Mueller various works relating to the flora of Australia].
