I do myself the honor to acknowledge your communication from the 20 instant,2 and beg humbly to express my gratitude for his Excellency's liberality in providing the means for my next excursion to the Snowy Mountains

Having received his Excellency's sanction for this journey, my preparations will be completed at the end of this month, and I shall be ready to execute then any special commands, which his Excellency may be pleased to entrust to me.
