I have the honor to ack1 the receipt of your letter of the 10th April2 requesting information relative to the reestablishment of the Botanical Department

In reply I am desired by H.E the LG3 to inform you that the sum of £1000 having been voted by the L. Council4 for the Dept H.E. has been pleased to direct that you are to be retained in your office of Govt Botanist
