To Augustus Gregory   6 June 1857

Melbourne, bot. Garden

6 June 1857

My dear Mr Gregory,

Having written twice to you since my return,1 I wished only to accompany the little book, which will give you the information on Leichhardts second expedition with a few lines.2 Major Christie will be kind enough to take it with him. My friends here are anxious to deliver soon, a lecture,3 but I find it very difficult to gather all the data requisite, and doubt even, if all books necessary are obtainable.

yours most devotedly

Ferd Mueller
