In reply to your letter of the 3rd Instant1 requesting that in order that the men in the Botanic Gardens may be employed to the best advantage the votes for the formation of walks and drains, and general purposes may be collectively expended, I have the honor to inform you, that it will be best to keep the wages distinct, until the whole of the vote for paths and drains is exhausted.
