In reply to the application made by the Bailiff of the Botanic Gardens,1 in his letter addressed to you dated 31st Ulto2 I have the honor to inform you that as his pay has already been increased from 8/ to 10/. p diem, with quarters Mr Moore3 is not disposed to sanction the payment of a higher rate.
