Sir,

In acknowledging the receipt of your letter of the 10th Inst1 suggesting that during the approaching hot season a covering of calico be stretched over and around the new Conservatory of the Botanic Gardens, I have the honor to inform you that a letter has been addressed to the Treasury for the transfer of the sum of £50 from the vote for "Tools" to meet the expense of this addition and other charges.
