From Ferdinand von Mueller to Julian Tenison Woods   4 Dec 1857

Melbourne bot Garden

4 Dec 57.

Dear Sir

Your paper has duely been read, as I mentioned in my last letter.1

N. 1. is Calycothrix scabra All. Cunningham

N. 2 Conospermum patens Schlechtend of which I should be glad to get a good supply of seeds.

N. 3. Viminaria denudata Smith. The bone is forwarded to Prof. M'Coy. Seeds of Comesperma volubile will be always acceptable but particularly longing am I for the much talked of Banksia. End of this or beginning of next month I thought to issue a small pamphlet on some new plants to accumulated with me, in which I should gladly enclose the Banksia.

Your truly attached

Ferd Mueller

Banksia

Calycothrix scabra

Comesperma volubile
