In compliance with the request of the honorable the Chief Secretary1 I have the honor to inform you, that the appointment of Governm Botanist and of Director of the botanic Gardens of Melbourne is held by Ferdinand James Henry Mueller, the appointment of clerk by John Frederick Charles Wilhelmi and the appointment of Curator by John Dallachi, and that beyond these no offices are held directly under Government in this department.
