I have the honor to solicit, that the following sums may be placed at my disposal for the probable expenditures during the next quarter in this establishment, vize:

Wages, according to a rate not exceeding that in former quarters

Travelling expenses out of the vote for tools, apparatus &c as prayed for in my letter of the 20. inst1

The latter item to last throughout the year, and to include also Mr Dallachis travelling expenses incurred in a journey to the Grampians, which cannot well be met by the vote for incidental expenses.
