Melbourne bot and zool. Garden,
22. Oct 1858.
My dear Mr Gunn
Knowing that you are at all time ready to serve our favorite science, I take the liberty to solicit from you a specimen of Gunnia, if you have such to spare, however small, as long as it contains at least one expanded flower for disection, as I am working on some new parasital orchid of this country and wished to compare Gunnia, which I have never seen.
I enclose for the Launceston Industrial Exhibition a specimen of Angora-wool grown in the Colony, the animals being now in the possession of this department are thriving well. —
My report is now nearly printed & I shall feel much [pleasure]1 in sending it to you [...]2 week. Of my fragmenta [phy]tographiae Australiae [...] 3 are out, which I believe [I sen]t to you, N. 4 is under [press].
With all sincerity
yours
Ferd. Mueller.
