To John O'Shanassy   26 October 1858

Melbourne botanic & zoologic Garden,

26. Oct 1858.

Sir

Having received intimation from the public works office, that the tender for completing the fence of the zoological gardens has been thrown up by the Contractor, I have the honor to inform you, that the sum of 150£, which we expected to save by the above contract will not be any longer fully available, and that I would recommend the authority C.S. 331, upon which I did not yet draw, to be annihilated.

I have the honor to be,

Sir,

your most obedient and humble servant

Ferd Mueller.

The honorable the Chief Secretary
