The Nurseries

Tooting, London

15th Jany 1859.

Dear Sir,

We have the pleasure to acknowledge the receipt of both your obliging Letters,1 explaining the cause of your having been obliged to refuse the accepting the Bill, we drew upon you, for £100 the mistake was quite inadvertent, on our part, & we regret very much, it should have occurred, but we really understood from your former letter, that, we were only following out, your wishes, on that head.

We are extremely happy to hear, that the Plants, Shrubs &cet we forwarded you, by the Conflict, in 8 Wardian Cases arrived in good condition, we are quite sure it would have been impossible to have taken more care, in packing, than we did the 8 Cases.

We have forwarded you agreeable to yr request, a detailed statement, of A/c of all the plants, shrubs &cet sent by the "Conflict": you will perceive that we have charged you, considerably lower, than Catalogue prices, for all the articles supplied.

We intend to send you, as soon as possible the remainder of yr obliging Order, to the amount of £26.5.8 to make up your original Order of £100.

At the same time, we shall feel obliged, by your giving instructions to the Manager of the Union Bank, in Melbourne, in connexion with their London Firm, to honour our Draft for the amount of our A/c inclosed £73.14.4 having arranged the matter agreeable to yr request.

We are Dear Sir

Yours faithly

W. H. Rollisson & Sons
