Councillor Hale and the Surveyor called on M at the Botanic Gardens where M 'kindly offered to let them have as many blue gums as they considered necessary and recommended them to be planted as soon as possible' (Minute books, St Kilda City Council records, City of Port Phillip, Victoria).
