By desire of the Committee of the zoologic Garden I have the honor to solicit, that you will be pleased to sanction the sum of £75 out of the purchase vote for animals to be transmitted to Mr Edw. Wilson in furtherance of his exertions to introduce useful animals into this colony.

The Under Secretary, J. Moore, approved M's request on 4 August 1859 and the next day forwarded the letter to the Treasurer enclosing the relevant account.
