From Charles Pasley1    10 November 1859

10 Novr [1859]

My dear Dr Muëller

Although I have regret that the Tanks should have been commenced in what I consider a rather unsubstantial manner, still as it appears that an alteration in the specification would have the effect of depriving the gardens of the benefit of the Tanks during the ensuing summer, I am not disposed to make any further objection to their being completed as commenced, the price being reasonable for the kind of work. I have to request however that the third tank may not be proceeded with for a few days as a claim has been sent in for extras on the contract for the bridge which I have not yet had an opportunity of looking into.

Sd C Pasley

P. S. I return the tender for the pump which appears reasonable.
