A letter was read from Professor Müller acceding to the request for the use of the Botanical Gardens.]2

Letter not found; item is an extrat from the minutes of the meeting of the Board of Management of the Lying-in Hospital on 15 November 1859. (The hospital changed its name to the Women's Hospital in 1884.)
The suggestion of holding a military concert was raised at the Board meeting of 20 October 1859, and at the next meeting a week later (27 October) it was reported that M had agreed to the suggestion. The meeting of 15 November agreed to write a letter of thanks to him. Letter not found. The military concert was held on 31 December 1859 and raised £122.9.0 for the hospital.
