The 'Blue Book' was a printed book containing the names and other details of all persons holding office under the Government of Victoria.
M's letter was forwarded to the Registrar General on 21 February 1860. Three names for the 'Office of Botanical and Zoological Gardens' were recorded in the 1859 'Blue Book': those of M, Carl Wilhelmi and John Dallachy.
