From Henry Hopwood   10 April 1860

St. Kilda 10 Ap 1860

Dr Mueller

Dear Sir

I herewith hand you two letters to self from Mr Neilson1 (who is I believe a relative to Captain Cadell) also a packet of seeds — the letters will repay perusal as he is living at almost the proposed point from which an exploration party2 could assemble —

As to his application to join it I have only to say that he is of robust habit about 27 years of age of good character — his letters explain his ability —

I remain

Dear Sir

Yours truly

H. Hopwood3
