Enclosed draft for R.S.,2 if required, otherwise for Mr Pamplin. In should you happen to see Mr Backhouse, pray let him have a set of the Fragmenta forwarded pr Great Britain, for which I would be happy to receive a copy of his work on Austr travels3 But pray do not mind, unless you happen to see him.

editorial addition. Joseph Hooker received the draft between October 1860 and 20 November 1861 (see J. Hooker to M, 20 November 1860). It was therefore probably sent about June. A set of publications had been sent per Great Britain in March (see M to J. Hooker, 17 March 1860).
