Letter not found. At a meeting of the Trustees of the Melbourne General Cemetery on 6 June 1860: 'Four tenders for trees and shrubs were opened and referred to a Committee of the whole of the Trustees to take the necessary steps in the matter, two trustees to form a quorum — It was also resolved that a letter be written to Dr. Mueller asking him to fix a time to meet the Committee at Mr Purchas's office, and give them his advice on the subject' (Minute book 1, Melbourne General Cemetery).
MS annotation by Purchas, 11 June 1860: 'Recd. & Answered' (letter not found). M met David Ogilvy and Frederick Cooper at Purchas's office on 13 June and accompanied them on a tour of the ground proposed to be planted (Minute book 1, Melbourne General Cemetery).
