From Ferdinand von Mueller to John Moore   15 Jan 1862

Thankfully returning this letter1 I beg to state, that it is my intention to send an other consignment of seeds of heat resisting plants now gathered to Jerusalem, where the cultivation of those received before has proved very successful.

Ferd Mueller

15/1/61.

On 24 October 1861, James Finn, British Consul at Jerusalem, wrote to John O'Shanassy, Chief Secretary at Melbourne: 'I beg leave to express my sincere thanks for the second supply of tree and grass-seeds, recently received through H. M. Consulate at Cairo' (V62/302, unit 868, VPRS 1189/P, Public Record Office, Victoria). The letter was forwarded to M for information on 14 January 1862.
