VICTORIA STREET

M elbourne,January 28th 1862

Sir

I beg to inform you that the documents you took away from this office on the 6th Novr 1861 have not been returned so far as it regards those you delivered to the "Age"1 although they have been repeatedly applied for.

As these documents are now required for special purposes, I have to request you to interest yourself to get them returned.

I would not trouble you in this matter were it not that as you took the said documents away without my being allowed to inspect and get a receipt for them I have no means of bringing home the neglect to the defaulting reporter or Editor.

I have therefore to request your early attention to the matter.

I have the honor to be

Sir

Your obedient Servant

Robert Dickson
