From Ferdinand von Mueller to John O'Shanassy   20 Mar 1862

Melbourne botan. Garden,

20. March 1862

Sir

I have the honor of forwarding herewith to you my seventh general report.1 I would beg leave to solicit, that in case you approve of its publication, you will be pleased to sanction as in former years, that 100 (one hundred) extracopies may be printed for transmission to the various principle correspondents of my establishment.2

I have the honor to be,

Sir,

your most obedient and humble servant

Ferd. Mueller.

The honorable the Chief Secretary

&c & &

B62.03.01.

On 7 April 1862, the Under Secretary, J. Moore, minuted: 'The Govt Printer will be good enough to supply Dr Mueller with 100 copies if he has not already obtained them'. The Government Printer, J. Ferres, replied on 8 April: 'This has reached me too late — the type is distributed being urgently required for other work. I had however partially anticipated Dr Mueller's request, and printed 50 extra, which have been supplied'.
