[Read letter from Dr Mueller stating that as many seeds and plants as could be spared from the Botanic Gardens would be delivered on application.]
Letter not found; item is an extract from the minutes of a meeting of the Trustees of the Melbourne General Cemetery held on 3 June 1862.
At the previous meeting of the Trustees, held on 6 May, the Gardener's recommendation 'that application be made to the Director of the Botanic Gardens, for as many plants and seeds as he can spare for the Cemetery' was agreed to. No letter of application has been found, but it is assumed that it would have been written soon after the meeting and that M would have replied promptly.
