Letter not found; but see South Bourke standard , 6 June 1862, p. 3, where, in an account of the meeting of the Hawthorn Municipal Council held on 2 June 1862, it was reported that under agenda item ‘Ornamental reserve’, ' Councillor Lansly said he had obtained a large quantity of shrubs from Dr. Mueller for the reserve; and he would propose that the thanks of the Council be tendered to Dr. Mueller for the gift. Councillor Conran seconded the motion, which was put and carried.'
