Verehrter Herr!
Gleich nach Empfang Ihres Schreibens wandte ich mich an die General Vermesser der Colonien Süd- u. West Australien, u. Tasmanien, Queensland u. Neu Süd Wallis u. stellte Ihr Gesuch als ein höchst berücksichtungs2 werthes dar. Ich habe auch bereits eine Anzahl Karten von dem General Surveyor in Sydney erhalten u dazu noch einige andere, welche seither hier erschienen zurecht gelegt, um solche mit einem der ersten Clipper an Ihre Londoner Adresse zu versenden.
Eine Anzahl Zeitungen soll gleichzeitig folgen. Von der glorreichen Reise des Mr Landsborough werden Ihnen die Zeitungen Bericht bringen.

Am 8. April sandte ich Ihnen per Suffolk den ersten Band meines Werkes über die Pflanzen dieser Colonie unter Dr Sonders Adresse.

Esteemed Sir,
On receiving your letter I immediately wrote to the Surveyor Generals for the colonies of South Australia, Western Australia, Tasmania, Queensland, and New South Wales, representing your request as most worthy of consideration. I have already received a number of maps from the Surveyor General in Sydney, as well as having put aside a few others that have since been published here, to be sent to your London address by the first available clipper.
A number of newspapers are to follow at the same time. The papers will bring you news of the glorious expedition of Mr Landsborough.3
